Permanent makeup – brows and lash-line
Explanation: Permanent Make-up for brows and lash-line enhancement are both forms of cosmetic tattooing. This type of tattooing involves applying pigment into the skin’s dermal layer in order to enhance your natural eyebrows and lash-line. This technique lessens and sometimes eliminates the need to apply brow makeup or eyeliner.

Process: After you share your medical history with me and send photos, I will assess your suitability for Permanent Brows and/or Lash-line enhancement. (Note that previous cosmetic tattooing can impact suitability if there is pigment remaining, or if skin was previously compromised). Once we agree to move forward, I will design your brows by mapping/drawing the shape on your brow with a non-permanent marker/pencil using measuring tools to ensure symmetry and precision. This part of the process gives you the opportunity to visualize and approve your brows before pigment is tattooed. Next I will mix pigments that I will temporarily swatch with a Q-tip on your forehead for approval; these colors will be based upon your skin tone and existing brow/hair color.

Once approved I will begin tattooing which will feel like a slight stinging or scratching sensation in the area. A topical anesthetic is available, however, I try not to use anesthetic on the first layer, as it changes the skin structure and the pigment doesn’t take as well. There is a secondary topical anesthetic available we can use after the first layer needed, ensuring you remain as comfortable as possible through the treatment.
The first brow process takes from 2-4 hours depending upon original state and condition of brows.
